Historical Battles

The Battle of Independence - 4BER

In this battle succeeded Wilhelm Darpar and his army of 42,000 men to defeat the Cantonosian army of 70,000 men. What today is Darpartryo, Northern Balber and Southeastern Veldunium had from around 60BER been a colony of the Confederacy Cantonos. In this decisive battle for independence commanded Wilhelm Darpar his forces, in this historic battle that went down in history. Although Wilhelm Darpar were outnumbered, he succeeded to overrun the Cantonosian Army's left flank and create a hole in its center. He then ordered the cavalry to attack and managed to split the Cantonosian army in two. However, the Cantonosian army managed by heavy shelling to make heavy losses on the Darparian forces. In the end succeeded Wilhelm Darpar and his freedom fighters to defeat the enemy and a week later was Darpartryo declared free.

The Siege of Corrintrin - 101-102AER

The Tarbar Wars that lasted from 1-121AER is known as the war which united the three core states Darpartryo, Apari and Tapanuo in 98AER, and a war where Falleentium showed its military supremacy and likewise the war that nearly wiped out the Tarbar-people.

In year 18-97AER was the war very balanced, but in 101AER managed a large Tarbar army to advanced into Darpartryo and besiege the capital Corrintrin. The besieged capital's defense of 25.000 men was commanded by General Victor L. Hugo and Frederick I the heir to Wilhelm Darpar I. Due Falleentium's armies were busy elsewhere could the capital not get reinforcements which were requested and needed. The barbarian army of 115.000, attacked from the west and blocked quickly the capital's supply lines.

During the 8-month-long siege, tried the enemy army in three rounds to storm the capital, but in vain, due to the city's strong defense of cannons and gunpowder. Instead focused the Tarbarian to starve and spread disease in the large city, which to some extent succeeded.

About 28.000 civilians and 12.000 soldiers died under det 8-month-long siege, before it in the beginning of the new year was liberated by General Robert Holte and his military force of 65.000 men. Robert Holte had before the liberation, won an important battle southwest of the capital, which allowed him to help the capital and attack the enemy from behind. The entire Tarbarian army was overrun and fled. And from that day to the end of the war in 121AER, prevailed Falleentium again and again.

The Battle of West Balbar - 469AER

Yesterday the Commander of the forces in West Balbar, The_Dane, ordered his 2nd and the 4th Army to start the offensive he had planned.
2nd Army was to attack in the north of the province and push south.
4th Army was to attack in the south of the province and push north.

-The North

After have advanced deep into enemy land without meeting any resistance, General The_Dane was gonna order his troops to march south, when suddenly a scout came riding and yelled: "Sir! The imperials are 3 km west of our position!
General The_Dane then ordered his troops into a spreaded columm formation and marched towards the enemy.
After a battle that lasted from late morning to early afternoon the battle was finally decided when the Royal Red Battalion forced a breakthrough in the middle, causing the enemy to breake into two parts.
The west flank of the enemy got incircled and hundreds where killed before they surrendered.
The right flank of the enemy mass routed after the breakthrough in the middle, and was cutted down to the last man by the hussars.

-The South

The 4th Army encountered an enemy force at the southern west hills, where a major battle also was fought.


Through amazing moves the enemy on the right flank got divided and blocked by the hills, and was forced on retreat with heavy casulties.
The left flank of the 4th Army was under heavy pressure from the beginning of the battle and was close to collapse if it wasn't because of the bravery and fierce fighing of the grenadiers and lancers, that eventually got reinforced by the right flank, and therefore broke the enemy lines and captured them.

After both battles 2nd- and 4th Army began to march to the middle where the province capital is located.
The armies linked up at late afternoon west of the capital, but was divided by a river. To succesful link up and get control of the province they needed to take the capital where the river runs through.

-The Capital / Baban

The first fighting began in the fields just outside the south part of the city(Baban), where the 4th Army met imperial forces. The battle raged from farmhouse to the streets of the southern Baban.

Meanwhile the 2nd Army was advancing at the big field north of Jaban encountering no resistance. General Dane then ordered his Royal Red Guard into the north parts of Baban.
Suddenly the imperials was on the horizont advancing towards the 2nd Army. General Dane ordered his men into battle formations, and send a runner to the Royal Red Guards in Baban.
After waiting an hour the enemy attacked the center and right flank of the 2nd army. General Dane ordered his left flank to push forward and surround the enemy. The imperials on the left flank collapsed after the hussars charged, and the infantry was free to surround the enemy in the middle. The right flank also made the imperials to collaps and surrounded the middle from that side. Unaware, before it was too late, the imperials kept pushing forward.
While this was happening, the Royal Red Guard faced heavy resistance in Baban, but finally overruned the defenders with help from the Royal Riders Regiment, and advanced over the brigdes to help 4th Army which had forced the imperials into the city where they were surrounded now.
The imperials surrounded by the 2nd Army, first surrendered after 90% of their force had died.
The Imperials in the City surrundered after the Royal Red Guards had advanced over the brigdes and captured their general.

The Battle of Malventum - 470-472AER

A couple of days back the Royal Corps of Apari was cutted of by imperial armies in western Gorigium as you know, but news have come in about their situation.

Yesterday at 16.45 / 4.45 PM the Royal Corps of Apari was attacked by 4 imperial armies in a provincial capital called Malventum where it was resting.
The Royal Corps went into position around and in the city ,and waited for the imperial forces.
The first skirmishes started on the right flank in the outskirts of the city where 2 grenadier companies engaged 5 regular imperial companies which were routed when the grenadiers got support from the Guard Lancers and routed the imperials.
In the meanwhile Major Green's regiment of skirmishers, The Green Jackes named after their commander, reported that several regiments where advancing at the center. The two companies of the regiment Major Green had control over tried to delay them till the infantry could be finished with the defences and get into place.

After 15 minuts the imperial regiments reached the center and heavy fighting started and spreaded onwards to the left flank. Meanwhile the right flank was meeting several tousands of troops and could barely hold, and already used all its reserves, that half of the center reserves need to go over and support.
On the left flank the enemy quickly overrunned the few troops holding there, even though most of the Royal Corps cavalry were there, they failed at routing the enemy and were shot to pieces.
At the center and right flank it had come to an overall melee combat. After hours of fighting the center collapsed and the right flank overrunned and surrounded - they fought to the last man.
Major Green took a quick desicion, and the rest of his regiment, two platoons, he occupied the Town Hall and started firing at the imperial forces to cover the routing of the Royal Corps. Few other companies did the same around the city to prevent the imperials to capture or kill them all.

The Battle of Beneventum - 470-472AER

At the time the battle in Malventum was coming to an end, General The_Dane and his most loyal and elite troops, The Royal Red Guard and The Royal Rider Regiment, had marching southeast to force a breakthrough so the army could pull out of its dangerous situation.
At the garrison town of Beneventum the Royal Red Guard and the Royal Rider Regiment launched its assualt on the imperial garrison, and it came to fierce street battles which lasted for an hour before the last imperial either was dead or captive.
After the battle had ended General The_Dane saw seveal troops, more dead then alive, walking towards him. They were those who escaped the battle in Malventum, and they told about what had happened.
General The_Dane fell on his knees when he heard of the battle, and cried silently for the men he would never see or fought alongside with again.

Though sadness had moved over all of the survivors, The Royal Red Guard and The Royal Rider Regiment, they knew they should get the hell out of there, or the sacrifice of the others would be in vain.
General The_Dane marched alongside his men and led them into friendly territory after a day long march without having a break.

The Siege of Henosbrun

Yesterday evening were the People's Republic of Gorigium occupied and the Government of Gorigium surrendered everything to the Crusade! The following of Gorigium sudden occupation and surrender, gave the crusade free access to the state Farrulli. The 11th Army stationed in the state Jalbetrer were immediately mobilized to Farrulli, to protect the capital Henosbrun. Under cover of the night, marched the 11th army through Farrulli to reach the fortifications before the Crusade arrives. The next several hours was hell. The intelligence that showed that the Crusade was long away, enough so the army could reach the city, were wrong. A Golden Army force of 70,000 men, arrived on the 11th Army's right flank, when the army had reached over halfway. It ended with an open battle in the woodland area near the northeastern mountains in Farrulli. The crusade was supported by armored cars and the 11th Army was stuck with almost no way out. After 5 hours of close combat succeeded it for the 11th Army to get away from the area. The army made ​​a retreat to Henosbrun. But when they could see the city, they saw something terrible. The city was under fire from long range artillery which the Crusade had set up while the army was under attack. Henosbrun's defense had managed to hold out, but was now under attack from the Crusade. The 11th Army failed to help the city, 4 kilometers outside the city, they were fired upon by a heavy barrage of artillery and two fighter aircraft, followed by an attack by an armored division from the Crusade. The latest news from Henosbrun was that the entire 11th army is annihilated and the city is under heavy siege.
60,000 men from the 11th Army have died in combat, and the city Henosbrun, in the state Farrulli is about to fall. The 1st Army stationed in Tapanuo is sent off, but it will take time.

Henosbrun, the capital of the state Farrulli is taken over by the Crusade. Large parts of the state is now under their control, and the people are fleeing from the state, some in vain! Execution of military people and killing of Farrulli's population is now over the 100,000! The State Jalbetrer which lies north of Farrulli, has been attacked by a series of air strikes and the capital Pealli has been attacked several times! The death toll is considered to be at around 20,000 but the number has not been determined.

The Crusade Fails - 482AER

The Golden Empire and the Crusade retreated over the west sea! The Crusade had been going on for 2 years and the fight was fierce and devastating for everyone! After the Golden Empire lost their main fleet near Delnour's coasts and had no progress at the Cartria-, Entloland- and Delooiium/Jalbetrer-frontlines. Did the Golden Empire and the Crusade admit that the mission had failed. Despite the Golden Empire and the Crusade military supremacy, had the mission and the object been too difficult to achieve and succeed. The Golden Empire possessed the world's larges military force and what we had witnessed in this war was far from everything they have. But the huge death toll, has made it impossible to continue for the Golden Empire without it would harm them at the home front. The Entloland-Kalmontum Union and Gorigium lies in ruins and it will take years before these regions are healed again. Gorigium has equally been divided into three nations - The People's Republic of Gorigium and the Republic of Nourlen and the Republic of Anloss. No peace agreements was made between the nations on our continent and the Golden Empire from the Insula continent. The total death toll for the entire war was about 3-4 million people. And the damage came to cost hundreds of billions. The States Delnour, Entloland, Cartria, Jalbetrer, Farrulli and Delooiium needed serious restoration!

Battle of Zarantin - 488AER

After hard battles and heavy bombardments, the capital of Verzarant has been pretty much been destroyed. The whole city is a pile of rubble and bodies after the last charge of the Royal and 2nd Army.
The HDFRF forces finally took the city, after a long fight due to the fierce resistance of the Verzarant Royal Army and the city's volunteers. The HDFRF flag now flies ontop of the former Imperial Palace of Verzarant, which is now a pile of rubble, like the rest of the city.

Socialist Coup in Geelakkar Island - 491AER

Today the socialists, supplied and reinforced by a small detachment of soldiers by the Socialist Federation, took temporary power in Geelakkar Island, when they stormed the Parliament where many high officials were in a meeting. It has been confirmed that around 85% of the leaders and officials in Geelakkar Island have been killed by the socialists.

The Geelakkarian army was also taken by suprise by socialist militia backed up with regular soldiers from the Socialist Confederation and was pushed out of all major cities and into the country side.
The Aparian Military Commander in Geelakkar Island, Major General Vandras, had heard the explosives in the distance, and called his local friend, Brigadier General Losmar, and asked him what was going on. The response was that the entire Geelakkarian Army and its command structure have fallen a part, and that only 7.000 men escaped the Socialists.
After a few hours General Major Vandras, alongside the 10.000 Aparian soldiers stationed in Geelakkar Island, linked up with the 7.000 Geelakkarian soldiers that was under command of Brigadier General Losmar, who had taken command after he had joined them from his estate in the west.
Losmar transferred the command to Vandras, since Vandras is a veteran from several wars, which HDFRF has fought.
Vandras drafted a plan to seize the northen coast of Geelakkar Island so supplies wouldn't be a problem.

After several hours of fighting 2/3 of the north coast has been seized after fierce fighting. Reports indicates that the combined Aparian and Gelakkarian forces are outnumbred 4-1. The reports also indicates that a large portion of the enemy forces, are soldiers from the Socialist Confederation, which means that only a small part of the Geelakkarian population support this "Uprising/Coup/Rebellion".

Aparian High Command is sending The Royal Red Guard alongside the 1st Fleet down there to reinforce the army and the 3rd Fleet.
The Grand Duke himself will command The Royal Red Guard.

After heavy fighting has is succeeded for Major General Vandras and Brigadier General Losmar, and their armed forces of about 10,000 Aparian and 7,000 Geelakkarian soldiers to defend and protect the northern half of the island.
However, it was at the cost of 2,500 men from the Geelakkarian forces and about 1,000 from the Aparian forces. The Aparian 1st Fleet carrying the Royal Red Guard and the Grand Duke, has been delayed due to a storm in the Nilira-ocean. And will be delayed for one or two days.

However, it succeeds for the 2nd Falleen Fleet to arrive from Port Anderson, and has now provided the allied troops on the north side. However, the fleet did not brought reinforcements and can only help the army with the fleet's heavy guns at the coast, but not if the army chooses to march into the land.
However, the Allies will be supported by 5 fighters from the Falleen Colonial Air Force from the colony Katharina.
Supplies and perhaps also reinforcements will also in a few days arrive from the Ultoor Federation and the Kingdom of Icstunium.

Information indicates that a socialist army is heading towards the Allies, with heavy artillery and armor.

Earlier today the Royal Red Guard of Apari landed together with the Grand Duke on Geelakkar Island to reinforce the isle.
The Grand Duke, Major General Vandras and Brigadier General Losmar made battleplans to retake Lenning, the Capital of Geelakkar Island, and to drive the socialists forces out, while another force would push through the middle of the isle, to cut the enemy forces in 2 parts.
Major General Vandras and his 9.000 soldiers together with Brigadier General Losmar and his 4.500 soldiers were to take the Capital, while the Grand Duke with his Royal Red Guard of 20.000 would push through the middle of the isle.

After having removed the foward observations posts of the socialist, the way to the capital was clear, and the suburbs were reached in around 2 hours.
Heavy fighting started in the suburbs and the Geelakkarian soldiers earned the respect of the Aparian forces when they destroyed any resistance they incountered despite the casulties.
After 1 hour and 20 minutes of fighting the combined army of Apari and Geelakkar reached the towncentre of the capital, and the socialists were on full retreat. Major General Vandras pursued them with his forces, while Brigadier General Losmar and his exhausted and depleted soldiers would make order in the capital, and destroy any pockets of resistance left in the capital.

Meanwhile in the middle of the isle the elite veterans of The Royal Red Guard killed everything which was in the way.
The socialists, reinforced by soldiers from the Socialist Federation, tried desparatly to stop the Aparian advance, but couldn't overcome the experience from the Aparian even though they outnumbred and knew the terrain.
By nightfall The Royal Red Guard had pushed all the way through the middle of the isle, and stopped the retreating socialists from the capital to retreat further. The socialists knew they were trapped and wouldn't be able to push through as they lacked ammo, spirit and rest. They surrended to Major General Vandras who had been following them, who then linked up with The Royal Red Guard. After one day 3/4 of the island has come under Aparian-Geelakkarian control and the socialist demoralised.

After hard fighting the Grand Duke of Apari together with Major General Vandras of the Aparian Army and Brigadier General Losmar of the Geelakkarian Army could proclaim that Geelakkar Island has finally been freed from the socialist threat.
In a massive assualt leaded by The Royal Red Guard the socialists last lines broke and all of them routed. All socialists troops(up to 22.000) have been captured.

1st Battle of the Southern Ocean - 494AER

At 0900 year 494AER, was Port Anderson attacked! The second Fleet was attacked by a Golden Navy and Air Force! In a sudden attack, advanced the Golden fleet of 2 Aircraft Carriers, 11 Battleships, 13 Cruiser and 6 Destroyer, towards the 2nd fleet. The golden fleet was supported by the Golden Air Force that with a strength of several hundred fighters and bombers, took part in the attack on the 2nd fleet. The 2nd fleet suffered a hard defeat. The Aircraft Carrier got a decisive blow in its left side, and the ship was about to break over in the middle.
The whole 2nd fleet of 1 Aircraft Carrier, 8 Battleships, 7 Destroyers and 5 Cruisers had been sunk and thousands were reported dead in battle.

At the same time was Port Anderson attacked by a clan strength of 30,000 men and the Golden 3rd Armored Division of 50,000 men and 110 Armoured Tanks. The remaining colonial forces and the exhausted 1st Army had lost the battle in advance. 9,000 men were killed and many more injured.
35,000 Colonial troops were believed to have been killed in the past days of fighting. By Imperial Order, was Admiral Mecoo, ordered to save the more than 100.000 soldiers from the 1st army as well as the civilians and the Colonial troops. The Royal Navy transported all military personnel away from the colony and home to Dellenport.

The Air Fleets stationed in the colonies, helped this great rescue operation to be completed. In an extreme tough battle with the Golden Air Force and Navy. Managed the Air Force to secure the path for the 1st Fleet, however, with high losses. Around 67 pilots were reported killed and 14 missing. By order had the colonies Port Collinger, Vintheriu and Port Katharina also evacuated and sail all the staff back to the mainland.

2nd Battle of the Southern Ocean - 494AER

Under the command of Admiral Mecoo sailed the 1st and the 4th fleet into battle against the Golden navy and the control of Southern Ocean. The alliance consisted of 3 aircraft carriers, 16 battleships, 5 flagships, 6 cruisers and 7 submarines, as well as 5 battleships, 9 cruisers and 1 flagship from Aparian. Against 2 aircraft carriers, 20 battleships, 11 flagships and 5 submarines from the Golden Empire.
Before the two fleets came into close range, sent both fleets their fighters off against each other, and a major air battle began above the two fleets. Admiral Mecco ordered the Royal Navy (1st) into the center and began a heavy barrage on the Golden Fleet. The Golden Fleet sent 6 battleships into the right flank and close fire from both sides started. In the course of 15 minutes sunk 3 Falleen battleships. On the left flank had Admiral Jason managed to break the Golden left-flank in the middle.

Meanwhile fought our pilots a tough battle against the well-trained Golden fighters. Several suicide attacks against enemy ships, resulting in heavy losses. Especially the Golden pilots used this as a last resort. Meanwhile succeeded Admiral Mecco with the Aparian fleet to push hard on the Golden fleet center. Major losses followed, and one of our aircraft carriers had to pull out of the fight. In a well-executed maneuver succeeded Admiral Mecco to destroy one of the Golden fleet aircraft carriers. Underwater fought our submarines against enemy submarines. And after heavy fighting prevailed we under water, with the loss of 5 submarines. After nearly 3 hours of fighting, pull the Golden Fleet back, with only 1 aircraft carrier and 7 battleships left. Our own fleet had lost 8 battleships, 2 flagships, 3 cruisers and 5 submarines. And the Aparian fleet had lost 4 cruisers and one battleship.

The Battle of Helderson and Sarnium - 496AER

At midnight the day before yesterday, attacked 12,500 Falleen soldiers as well as 35 tanks and 20 armored vehicles the coastal town Helderson. In a few quick attack on the fortified bunkers and trenches, managed an armored unit on 8 tanks and 2,000 men to penetrate the enemy barricade near the harbor. At the edge of town, we lost 12 tanks due to hostile heavy artillery, and the about 1,500 men were stopped and had to seek shelter. With attacks from three sides, it did not look too good for this unit, and 325 had to lose their lives before they managed to join the remaining 8,000 men who attacked in the middle. In the middle 8,000 men and the remaining tanks attacked uphill. Helderson's side except the harbor is located on a hill. The Falleen soldiers had to take the first fortified trenches and bunkers before they could begin the attack up the hill through and between the trenches. It ended with close combat and close fire from bunkers protected by machine guns. However, after we had managed to penetrate the harbors defends, we eventually managed to surround the enemy and retake the city. 4860 Falleen soldiers died in combat, and 20 tanks destroyed. The enemy's loss is around 2100.

Yesterday afternoon began the attack on the city Sarnium. However, our troops met little resistance from the Clans, as the rest of the Clans troops had fled back along the river to Jödingburg to fortified a very small piece of land against our attack. It will be incredibly difficult to get through along side the river and the mountains. In a few confrontations in Sarnium, we managed to take over the city. We lost 170 men.

The Battle of Jödingburg - 496AER

The main goal of the first attack was to secure the eastern part of the city, thus ensuring one part of the city and create a frontline at the city's bridges. In a full front attack, moved about 100.000 men (out of 480.000(2nd and 3rd Army)) and 1200 tanks (out of 2100) against the city. The attack was divided into 5 zones, a northern, two middle and two south. On the northern front, moved around 20,000 men with armored support into the fortified northern part of the city. There was only one way in from the north, which went along the river. The task was to eliminate hostile forces and conquer the north bridge, and then unite with the middle zone. But it did not go as planned. Due to the narrow streets, the soldiers ended up in close combat, and our soldiers had trouble gaining ground. Around 3400 men were killed before the Falleen soldiers could conquer the north bridge and create a frontline in the north, however, they did not managed to unite with the middle zone, until much later. In the middle, where the battle was fiercest, attacked 40,000 men the very fortified center. The Golden Army had fortified both main streets with bunkers, guns, tanks and trenches. Not even the fierce fire from our air force and artillery, helped our soldiers in their attack. It took a full two hours before our soldiers had set up a front base in the outskirts of the city and at that time had 5800 soldiers lost their lives and 57 tanks were destroyed. The next 2 and a half hours ended as in the north, with close combat and the fight went from house to house, between streets and streets. Until they reach the two center bridges and unite with the other zones. A total of 7656 soldiers lost their lives in the middle zone. And one of the bridges was destroyed. In the Southern zone, concentrate the one half of the 40,000 man strength on attacking the Clan fortification which they had set up between the mountains and the river southeast from Jödingburg. The unit of 15,000 men attacked the clan army from the west, while the Falleen force from Sarnium attack from the east. In a battle that lasted exactly 37 minutes, managed our troops to conquer the fortress and the small village nearby. Only 257 soldiers were killed, but 5600 clan soldiers were killed and 783 were captured. The clans Helkar, Sigior and Zallarkarla, is now effectively out of the war. While this happend, continued the rest of the south zone's soldiers the attack on Jödingburg. They reached relatively quickly and painlessly up to south bridge, but when they approach the bridge, was it blown up by Golden troops. The Falleen unit reached the middle zone, where it helped to take over the middle. In total died 18,567 Falleen soldiers in the battle over half of Jödingburg. In these hours are we bombarding the Golden holdings, but it does not seem to have a major effect. No major confrontations has happened since the goal was achieved but it is expected they will come soon. Under the command of Field Marshal Conlord, initiated the Falleen troops a massive assault on the remaining two bridges in an attempt to penetrate into the other half of the city. 100,000 soldiers were in three waves sent in a full attack on the enemy fortifications and bunkers. The first attack ended in a total failure and the attack only managed to create a narrow exposed base near the north bridge. General Guenter was badly wounded by a grenade and had to be carried away in safety, he is without danger. Colonel Leopold led an armored unit in through the north bridge, but half of the unit was destroyed by enemy fire. The colonel did, however, get over to the base, and initiated minor campaign against enemy bunkers. At the bridge in the middle managed the second wave to take over the square and secure the town hall, however, in trying to secure the southwestern part of the marketplace, had the Golden Army placed explosives in the buildings, and when our soldiers approached, fell the buildings down on them. 348 soldiers lost their lives. The third attack then succeeded to conquer the whole area on the other side of the two bridges, but the rest of the city is still in hostile possession. And the fight now goes from the streets to the buildings.
3898 have lost their lives, 179 are missing.  

The smoke rose over the city hall tower. The smell of burned flesh hanging over the city streets. Houses burned, destroyed and annihilated. Blood running down the streets, the crows flying in the city altitudes. The Falleen flag, half burned, hanging on the top of the tower. The battle for Jödingburg is over.

Yesterday morning, launched the Falleen forces one of the most bloody and fierce battles they had ever been in. In an attempt to suppress the remaining Golden forces attacked the Falleen forces the last two Golden strongholds. As before, it ended in close combat, close fire and fighting from building to building. The Golden soldiers had set up, in a last attempt, several machine gun positions, killing hundreds of our soldiers. The Golden tanks were also helping to make life difficult for our soldiers, but due to our armored personnel, managed we to destroy the three remaining Golden armored divisions. The battle continued all day, and not even in the evening and at night stopped the fight. Hour after hour fought our forces against Golden soldiers who just would not give up. But finally, succeeded our soldiers to take over the city, and remove Golden presence in the South. 5998 Golden soldiers were taken prisoner, and about 90,000 are believed to be killed. The remaining Golden forces have fled the south back to their homeland. 47,462 Falleen soldiers have lost their lives in the recapture of Jödingburg. 

Coup d'etat In Jalberter - 497AER

This Morning, Duke General Guards Kenan Evren the rebel Leader and the leader of Welshy personal Guard ordered a hand-written report from full Second Duke Guard Haydar Saltık on whether or not a coup was in order, or if the government merely needed a stern warning. The report, which recommended preparing for a coup, was delivered in 3 days. Evren kept the report in his office safe. Evren says the only other person beside Saltık who was aware of the details was Nurettin Redmond.

At 2:30am, Evren and the four service commanders decided that they would overthrow the civilian Ducal government. The National Security Council (Rebel command staff), headed by Evren declared coup d'état, he gathered 20 of the most loyal troops knocked welshy 2 body guards outside his room and barged in. Mass confusion rained then welshy was detained, they have said they wont hurt him because he is innocent.

The coup was over within 5 minuites, as of yet the new goverment has not shown any concern to declare independance from fallentium or any sight of freedom. All that is known is the rebels have told Jalberter about the coup, and the people reaction have been mixed. Welshy was put on National Television by the rebel and told to tell the people to keep the peace and keep calm.

Operation Smoke

Early hours in the morning, the Falleen Soldiers of the 4th Guard Corp arrived and joined the Vestulte lines. The total number of Imperial men now reaching over 120'000 men and 247 Tanks. A messenger was sent to the rebels informing them to stand down or be destroyed by the might of the Empire. Their reply was what we expected- they would continue to fight. After being informed of this Lord Vestulte ordered his Artillery to take up firing positions and prepare to bombard the Welshy Estate, where the captured Duke was held. At 1100 Hours today, the guns of the Vestulte Battery opened up bringing all manner of hellfire down onto the enemy positions creating confusion and panic in the enemy lines. This created the perfect chance to rescue the Duke right under the noses of the rebels. A small detachment of men, along with Lord Vestulte's son, Charles, were sent in to infiltrate the compound and rescue the Duke. In the midst of the confusion created by the Imperial Assualt, they were able to slip passed nearly un-noticed. At 1150 Hours, a signal smoke was launched by the infiltration team, this signalled the Duke was rescued and cleared from the compound. Lord Vestulte with this information ordered 11'000 Men under Maj. Gen. Kissinger to attack the enemy position and drive them out of the estate. After a few more intense hours of fighting, the compound was clear and the old guard of the Welshy family were either slain or captured to await trials for treason. Soon after collecting the bodies and reorganising, Lord Vestulte ordered a move on the state capital to remove these rebels from their seats of supposed power and clear the so called rebel army.

Pealli Surrounded, Rebels Surrender

Early in the Afternoon today, the rebel forces begun laying down their arms after a few isolated skirmishes. Many of them not wishing to throw their lives away for a lost cause. Many supporters have surrendered to the imperial troops. Though while many surrendered, the self proclaimed king and his die-hard supporters were still held up in the city. To deal with these men, Lord Vestulte personally lead a detachment of 500 men into the city to stop these mad men. They arrived at the Lord Paramount's residence in the city, the preposed palace of the new kingdom, to see that the die-hards had heavily dug themselves in. In order to prevent collateral damage, Vestulte went in to nagotiate terms of their surrender. When confronted with the proclaimed king, Lord Vestulte saw the man was completely insane, still believing he could win. Upon the stating of the rebels having to surrender, the king went in to a state of frenzy and drew his blade on Vestulte. Though seemed to lack skill and was easily run though by the Lord. After this, all other rebels laid down their arms and surrendered. 

Operation Blaze - 504AER

With the fighting in the north drawing in a large portion of Republic forces and the rest of the forces being forced to protect and patrol their entire coastline, this makes the Republic vulnerable to the opening of a second front. The coastal city of Ca Chau Lieu is a prime target, the closest port city to the Republic capitol and it defenses weak, it should be relatively easy to take with a small force.

With a port city taken we could land enough troops to open a second front while our control of the sea and air provides more then enough cover. The nearby airport to the city makes the city an even better target as it would allow our force to push inland with good cover and support as well as a stable supply line.

The main objective of Operation Blaze will be to set the Republic ablaze, our troops targetting factories, fields, and resources such as mines. We've already cut their foreign supply lines, now its time to cripple their ability to make war. The plan can be taken with minimal risk to our forces for should they spot a force of significant size they can easily fall back as artillery, air power, and eventually the navy provide cover. Since the operation wouldn't require landing enough forces to fight battles, a small force of 8,000 - 10,000 or so could land to accomplish it and if needs be, can be relocated to strike at other areas along the coast, inflicting massive damage to the Republic.

Landing of Ca Chau Lieu

Today started Operation Blaze, where the coastal town of Ca Chau Lieu was the main objective, in order to destroy industrial areas and press the Republic back on the capital Ba Fhar. Before the landing of the 1st Marine Rifle Brigade and the 1st Marine Brigade, that counted a force of 10,000 men, was the city Ca Chau Lieu and the nearby mountains bombed by our air force and navy. And furthermore were the 7th Parachute Battalion dropped east from Ca Chau Lieu and near Mountain 67, to destroy the caves and strongholds that were hiding in the mountain, to ensure an easier landing of the marines in Ca Chau Lieu. The landings started, and with the support of the Navy and Air Force, sailed our soldiers against the shore, under heavy fire from artillery and machine guns.
The boats reached the shore with minor losses, and the soldiers ran up the fortified beach. The beach cost many lives, but our soldiers reached the city and the harbor was quickly taken over.
Meanwhile, our paratroopers landed and went through the jungle toward Mountain 67, where they were met by well-guarded machine gun positions. But after fierce fighting, managed they to penetrate the fortified area, where they managed to destroy several artillery positions before they again would help to surround the enemy in the city of Ca Chau Lieu.
After 3 hours of fighting in the city and the nearby jungle, had the Falleen forces triumphed and driven the enemy further into the jungle. Out of 11,000 men, died 1,102 and 2,569 were injured.

With the capture of Ca Chau Lieu, a land HQ has been established while the local port and airfield have been quickly refitted to serve for Operation as troops set about their tasks. The cities factories and many outlaying fields have been set afire with enough food left to provide for the local population. By refitting the local airfield, air raids inland have been stepped up with fire bombing of fields and factories while roaming army forces begin targetting mines. Skirmishes have slowed advances in a few areas and caused a few casulties, but overall have offered very little resistance. In a handful of small villages, fighting amoungst the local populations between Republic and Kingdom supporters have given our men allies in the region, particularly in the areas around the outskirts of the city of Buo Ling about fifteen miles west of Ca Chau Lieu. Most Kingdom supporters are being quickly pushed from their villages, but are quickly rallying around our men forming small bands of skirmishers.

The successful offensive from the south has managed to establish an artillery base, with chould reach the capital Ba Fhar. The heavy artillery has for 36 long hours bombarded the capital. And by orders of the Field Marshal and Crown Prince Frederick III, 68 bombers were sent over the city and dropped countless bombs. Ba Fhar is in ruins, and thousands of people are considered dead in this great bombardment. In addition, HSO say that the republican president have been killed and the Falleen command have, a few hours ago receive a telegram from the Republic of desire for peace negotiations. 

The Battle of Port Collinger 510AER

The Battle of Port Collinger, sometimes refered to as the Port Collinger War, was a near month long battle, fought between the guerilla forces of the Vazii, and the Imperial Forces under first Lt. Gen. Hasan, then Adm. Leopold Hess. Early on, the fight was very one sided, as the Colonial Army, specifically the 2nd Southern Colonial COrps, based in PC, was unable to gain the upper hand and retake the City of Dumerston, whihc had been designed to hold out against a seige due to the Invasion of Port Collinger during the Second Golden Crusade, and the War with the Clans. Much of the battle centered around Dumerston, but large portions also took place in Haister, and near Caladonia, and a very breif "naval fight" as two small ships commandeered by the Vazii were destroyed as the attempted to land men in Port Collinger City. Historians compilied a timeline of the war, and it is one of the few acctual accounts prove to be accurate from the time, and is ordered our of various postings by news sources and released files from the High Command.

  • Aug. 1st: Early reports of the Vazii reach Imperial Intelligence.
  • Aug. 2nd: Port Collinger Police in Haister undergo a fire-fight with unknown rebel/pirates groups.
  • Aug. 3rd: Rebel groups begin moving during the night towards the key region around Dumerston, Port Collinger authorities remain un-informed about this, or its possible meaning.
  • Aug. 4th: Port Collinger receives news about the Vazii capturing radio stations, and immediately sends out a Code-Alpha report to OIS HQ and the Imperial Government about possible Vazii forces in the colony arming for war.
  • Aug. 5th: Surprise attack in the City of Dumerston catches police off guard, and the Vazii take control of city, Code-Bravo emergency dispatch to 2nd Southern Colonial Corps HQ alerts Port Collinger to the attack, and enables them to mobilize forces before things get out of hand. Governor Hess initiates Martial Law.
  • Aug. 6th: 2SCC arrives outside Dumerston, where police forces have held the Vazii inside for nearly 24 hours, leaving the police weak. Lt. Gen. Hasan orders the 6t, 7th, and 3rd brigades to attack the city, expecting a day long fight, and home by dinner.
  • Aug. 7th: Fighting continues around Dumerston.
  • Aug. 8th: Lt. Gen. Hasan realizes that this would be a longer fight than he planed for, and calls in the 2nd Division to assault the city as well.
  • Aug. 9th: Fighting.
  • Aug. 10th: Gov. Hess reports on the fight, and requests the 5th Fleet to move in to provide Close Air Support for the ground forces.
  • Aug. 11th- 20th: Further fighting, Vazii takes control of Caladonia, and the 2SCC is forced to fight on two sides. The 5th Fleet arrives on the 20th and begins Air raids on the Vazii.
  • Aug. 23rd: The Air-Marshal offers Air Force support as well, and Gov. Hess accepts this offer.
  • Aug. 24th: Vazii forces take control of Haister and the majorly Helkarish Highlands Region.
  • Aug. 25th: Air Force detachments arrive in the colony, and begin their own support missions in Haister.
  • Aug. 27th: The Imperial Marines breakthrough in Dumerston, and find much of the populace has been massacred, and they continue towards Caladonia, chasing the Vazii.
  • Aug. 28th: Operation: PHANTOM-SABRE is deemed a success, and the 2SCC proceeds in the remaining Vazii through the next three days.
  • Aug. 31st: Port Collinger War is declared over by the Joint-Taskforce Commander, Adm. Leopold Hess, and the Air Force outfits in the colony are returned home. The 5th Fleet is given orders to remain in the colony until Martial Law is lifted.

The Battle of Örebro - 523AER

The Falleen Restoration of Order in Haals and the Road to Örebro

From the moment the order went out the 13th Army swung into action, over the course of the last 2 weeks it has mobilised and began its push into the Haals. The 1st Corps, consisting of 40,000 Men have been tasked with marching northwards and occupying the north of the Haals Island. Meanwhile 40,000 Men of the 2nd Corps under my personal command are to lead the push on the Haals Capital of Örebro, and move quickly to secure their Government and King. The Remaining 20,000 Men of the 3rd Corps are awaiting orders, acting as a reserve force and also to send small detachments to explore the Moutain passes and see if the Haalsian Soldiers are occupying and defending them. The Majority of the Army's Tanks are being assigned to the 2nd Corps with a smaller amount of both Tanks and Armored Vehicles being assigned to 1st Corps with a small force left in reserve alongside the 3rd Corps. I hope to deliver a quick and effective sucesses without the huge Civilian loses that sullied the last war.

Over the last few days the 1st and 2nd Corps have made steady advance into the Haals, most of their military emplacements lie empty and abandoned and many more offer only token resistance before either surrendering or fleeing deeper into their own lands. The Haalsian Military has either melted away or simply failed to materialised with little resistance being offered. A steady advance of roughly 10-12km a day has been made with few casualities. The 2nd Corps's push on the Capital is proceeding according to plan and ontime with the Capital within a week or so's advance, the 1st Corps in the north has had a slightly slower advance but still progresses at a reasonable pace of 8-9km a day. If the whole Military Action continues at this rate we should see the entire Island occupied within a Month or so. More Information to follow winthin the coming weeks. The advance has finally started to meet stiffer resistance in the South, the closer we reach the Capital of Örebro the more we start to see more organised and disciplined defenders. However while the Southern push starts to meet more resistance the Northern push still has yet to encounter serious resistance, bar a few small pockets at Military Installations and Naval Positions along the coast. The men of the 1st Corps earlier this day entered the Northern City of Helsingborg and captured it after a few hours of fighting at the City Hall meaning that most of the Northern Haals now falls under Falleen Occupation. The men of the 2nd Corps are pushing for the capital and should be at the outskirts within a week and estimate that roughly 3,000-4,000 Haalsian Troops are ready to defend Örebro but a large part of the city already lies in ruins and morale of the Haalsian Soldiers is said to be "paper thin at best". The Battle of Örebro

Today the men of the 2nd Corps finally reached the Haalsian Capital and fierce fighting has begun in the outskirts of the city. The Capital has been encircled and a large scale push has begun into the city from many different positions with the general aim of breaking the back of the Haalsian Forces that are left defending the Capital and ensuring a quick victory. Early reports indicate that the Haalsian King has called for an all out battle to save the Capital and have declared that “Every inch of Haalsian soil that is taken shall be stained with the blood of Falleen Soldiers!”. They have even mobilised and armed Old Men and Children to help defend positions within the City. Tanks are becoming bogged down in the fierce street to street fighting but slowly the Haalsian Soldiers are giving ground across the whole of the city, bar the Central district and Government sectors where the more professional elements of the Haalsian Army and the Royal Guard are deployed where fighting is still raging. Meanwhile in the north the men of the 1st Corps have began mop-up operations and have been disarming any remaining pockets of Haalsian resistance, they have also began setting up “Military Only Zones” and enacting an official occupation of the north. This has been met with a muted response from the populace and small protests/gatherings in the Cities and Towns under Falleen Occupation however violence is almost non-existent so far. The men of the 2nd Corps have been engaged in fierce fighting in their valiant effort to take the Haalsian Capital. These attacks have met with a variety of success, some have made deep penetrations into the Haal's defensive lines while others have been blunted due to well prepared Haalsian Entrenched Positions and their extensive use of Anti-Air Cannons as Supporting Guns. These 75mm Pieces have proven very effective at knocking out Tanks and seriously hampering the advance of our Infantry, however there are few in use across the Capital and are mostly centred around the main square in the centre of the city. Overall wide gains have been made and only the main square continues to actively resist. Most of the City is now under our control and many Haalsian positions have started to host white flags in surrender. Alarming reports of the number Child Soldiers continue to circulate and many of the remaining defenders are estimated to either be Royal Guards or Children ranging from the age of 8-15. However these Children have proven to be dedicated and tenacious fighters and have been found to crew many of the emplacements and artillery pieces within the defences. We expect to receive a ceasefire request and for the 2nd Corps to have taken full control of the City within a few days. Rumour also has it that the King himself is still within the City and is personally overseeing all the deployment and management defences of the Capital, if this is the case then we shall make it a top priority to secure the King following our completion of our taking of the Capital. The 1st Corps is continuing to do its role as an occupying force and the 3rd Corps is on standby to support either of the other Corps and react to any new situation. Today the final nail in the Haals coffin was hammered home. Örebro has finally surrendered and Falleen soldiers have taken full control of the Capital. With this move they have also captured the bulk of the Haalsian Government and many leading Public and Military officials. Also now under Falleen protection are the remnants of the Haalsian Royal Family. However the King however who was found in his throne room, slumped over his throne with a revolver in hand... dead. It is thought he took his life when he finally realised that the battle for Örebro was lost. His body is currently under watch in the Palace along with the rest of the captured officials. The men of the 2nd Corps are currently engaging in mop up operations and are in the final stages of disarming the remaining Haalsian forces. With this blow any organised opposition within the Haals is effectively over and the remnants of the Haalsian forces have officially signed an Armistice, finally bringing the war in the Haals to a close. Casualty reports for the final stages of the war are enclosed below. Full casualty reports shall follow shortly.

The Battle of San Padua: Breaking the Blockade - 539AER

The calm before the storm

At 1400 hours the sun seemed blaring on the Falleen ships as they sailed along to a Northern course. Sailors had just finished eating when bells rang throughout the Falleen ships, this was a sign that a piece of the enemy fleet that was blockaiding San Padua had been spotted. Sailors threw on their uniforms hastily, as they quickly ran to their combat positions. Guns were moved and repositioned on their ships, and in the same vein Aircraft were just beginning to take off from their carriers. An excempt from a Crewman 3rd Class states: 

Things were insane, when the bells started ringing we knew what we had to do. We sprung into gear, I quickly finished eating what I had in the Mess Hall. A buddy of mine also happened to have spilled some soup on his shirt when the bells started ringing, poor bastard. Can't say I didn't laugh though. 

The Rear Admiral of the fleet, James Von Branch delivered radio message to the ships of the fleet, with a grin on his face he states: 

Gentlemen, we are here. Our hour of destiny is here! Here we must show the enemy- the Kaarnorians- why they shouldn't mess with Falleentium! Especially the Falleentium fleet! It does not matter today who you are, what matters is what you are here for! Are you here for yourself, or are you here for Falleentium and to show those bastards a thing or two!? Gentlemen, we must end this blockaid here! If we end it here, we can finally show the enemy we are not to be trifiled with! We can claim victory!" 

Sailors cheered as they grinned with determination. Final preperations were put in place before combat began, This was it, this was the battle! The day shall be ours to own! 

The storm before the calm

The Battle had begun. The first to open fire was the Falleen fleet as shell after shell was sent off flying into the direction of the Kaanorian fleet. A shell landed on a Kaanorian Heavy Cruiser and must've hit it's magazine directly by chance as a massive explosion rocked the ship, 3 minutes later it began to list to it's side. Shells were sent flying back from the Kaanorian blockaid force. The H.M.S Rittnor exploded in a blaze of death as sailors on it were tossed like ragdolls in multiple directions. T4M Torpedo bombers dive and drop their torpedos infront of the path of enemy ships, a specific account is of a T4M squad diving in low in the face of enemy AA fire and dropping their torpedos in the direct path of a enemy Destroyer, 3 Torpedos hit their mark. In response to the hits the Kaanorian Destroyer faced several explosions to it's hall before listing to it's side. 

Throughout the next hour shells between the two fleets were being tossed constantly back and forth, planes were being shot out of the air and torpedos consistantly launched from their tubes and wings. By the end of the large battle it was clear who was the victor, the Kaanorian fleet was pretty battered but not destroyed, however they had begun to retreat from the area. It was clear that day that the Falleen navy had finally been victorious! But not without a cost, as the 2nd and 7th fleet suffered moderate losses in combat. In comparison to the Kaanorian fleet which took more damage overall on more ships. 

The aftermath

Due to the fact the blockade was no more and the Kaanorians were routed, James Von Branch with a smile sent a message in morse code to the rest of High Command 

"Victory at sea. San Padua blockade broken, casalties and like details will follow."

The Second Naval Battle of San Padua - 539AER

James Von Branch just received word that his fleets near San Padua was surrounded. He grinned and clutched his glasses. This was what he expected them to do. The Kaarnorians have made a tactical mistake in attempting to surround the 200+ fleet. James Von Branch ordered his fighter aircraft to escort his dive bombers as they moved to hit the center. In minutes the dive bombers were in position and flying towards the Kaarnorian fleet. AA guns from the ships light up the sky as several dive bombers slammed into the sea. 

However several other dive bombers managed to let their torpedoes go and watched as several of them slammed into Kaarnorian ships, blowing 2 of them up in a fiery explosion and heavily damaging a couple of ships. The aircraft made a return towards the Falleen fleet, which was cruising towards the center of the Kaarnorian line. Battleships opened up on the North and South section of the Kaarnorian fleet to put pressure on them and make it seem like a diversionary attack on those sections. 

James Von Branch announced to the fleet that this battle will end here! With a Falleen victory! Cheers echoed throughout the ships as the center of the Kaarnorian fleet was in sight. Destroyers fired their guns in beautiful harmony as shells raged back and forth between the two fleets. The Super Heavy Battleships made thunderous booms as they fired their guns, helping to crack the center of the enemy fleet. James Von Branch remarked "It was like a national holiday back home." A shell happened to land onto the deck of his flagship, the IFS Darpartryo which made him fall out of his seat, but he got back up a very short time later. 

Cruisers zoomed in and out of the two fleets launching torpedoes one after another, as some battleships openly fired on one another as well. Several Falleen ships are sunk along with many Kaarnorian ships. The Kaarnorian line however has found that it cannot take the beating, and begins to collapse. Falleen ships pour through the center with massive firepower and numerical superiority. 

The Falleen ships then swing south to cut off the Kaarnorian retreat and take them by piecemeal while sustaining plenty of casualties ourselves. The Kaarnorian northern section also begins to route, it is a total Falleen victory, but not without a cost. Many Falleen ships were destroyed or damaged, and a moderate amount of Kaarnorian ships lie destroyed. James Von Branch radios in his victory to the high command, and losses for the first battle (Breaking the blockade) are reported: 

15 Falleen ships lost, 21 damaged. 

8 Kaarnorian Ships lost, 31 damaged to various degrees. 

The second battle losses have not been totaled yet.

Disaster in Operation Watchtower - 540AER

Falleen and Allied Forces in the FUC surrender.

With two and a half months of a vigorous assualt by the Shihan army against the Falleen and allied armies entrenched at what many now refer to as Watchtower base. The conditions and casualties have only been worsening further. Finally. With a meeting with his junior officers staff. And throughly discussing the impossibility of the situation. Air Commadore Macmillian has decided to surrender his forces numbering 120,000 strong and postion in the FUC's to the Shihan Army. An after action report. Extensive in size. Has reached Corintrin showcasing the horror of the battle forces in the Free United Cities suffered. With this. Shiha has completely occupied the Free United Cities. Breaking any myth of Falleen supremecy military wise in the FUC's and indeed the east 

The following report has been dictated to Falleen High Command by Air Commadore Thomas Macmillian. Transitional commander FUC's 

At approximately 0500 hours a large Shihan artillery strike was directed directly onto the forces of 8th. 4th, and 2nd divisions blocking the Shihan forces amassed to the direct east. This caused immense casualties onto my forces. Already strained from weeks of continous combat. As suspected. A Shihan assualt came afterwards. Another one of their now easily recognisable melee scrambles. Bearing curved swords. The charged directly into the trenches of the 2nd Division. And mauled the men there. Shattering the lines. Forces from the 8th Division tried to muster a counter assault. But persistant shelling from the Shihan's now mustered artillery completely sidetracked any effort. Inflicting over 36% losses on 8th Division. 4th division. The most intact and forward of the divisions avaliable. Was bypassed by the Shihans be means of pocketing the men. And within an hour of the time reaching 1100. Was declared to me encircled. 4th Division commander Major General Harrison was struck and killed by a morter strike several minuites after the Shihans started a pincer manuver on the division. Which is the only explanation for the slow reaction of the 4th. By 1400. All gunfire from the 4th's position has been halted. Which gives me the assumption the division was destroyed. 

2nd division. Already badly damaged from the prior charge. Was essentially destroyed when the Shihans slammed into it at 1600 after finishing combat with the encircled 4th. 2nd division put up only a piecemeal fight due to already sustaining 67% losses in the previous engagement. I estimate with no support. 2nd division was finished off by 1900 hours. However. I can no longer tell as by than the Shihan army had already pressed into the base itself. 

8th Division. Damaged by the artillery. Helped buy us some time as we withdrew towards Alpha base. However. Heavy combat losses have made the remains of the division immobile. And is currently fighting in the hinterland of the base. 

After this hammer blow of a strike. The Shihans remained in cover until 2200 hours. Likely to prepare for the next assualt. Which was on the allied divisions and Falleen 6th brigade stationed at the Stanley Airbase. At 2225 hours. The Shihan army fired an accurate and unfortunately effective barrage onto Stanley Airbase. Destroying all the remaining aircraft in the open. And heavily damaging the emplacements there. After this. With the cover of the night. The Shihan force. Which I estimate to be 56,000 men. Charged into the base with swords drawn and bayonets fixed. The airmen and wounded soldiers mounted an impressive defense. However. Due to the grave amount of enamy soldiers. And the tired nature of our own. the 9000 men at the airbase capitulated by 0200 this morning after almost famously singing men of Corintrin before the Shihans final assualt. Leaving our own positions at Port Watchtower highly flanked and dare I say undermanned.

It was at 0600 I realized the gravity of the situation and ordered men to withdraw as best as possible. However. at 0700. With only around 1500 men on the ships. Shihan soldiers captured an overlook of the harbour. And has started to place artillery. Making escape by sea increadibly difficult. At 0900 hours I recieved roughly 2000 soldiers from the 8th division. Without any of their heavy equipment or any real combat ready soldiers. The division was destroyed effectively within the night before. 

The Shihans began two simultanious assualts on my 62,000 remaining men in two salients on the coastline., 42,000 men to the north. Consisting of our allied soldiers and the reformed 2nd division. And the 5th and 9th division at Port Watchtower. Heavy combat ensued. With our forces sustaining atleast 50% casualties due to poor defensive positions and the Shihans in possesion of excellent artillery positions. I myself was injured when a morter shell landed next to me and my chief of operations. I sustained a 2nd degree burn on my left leg. And also endured a broken arm. My chief of operations was killed. I was given news that Major General Erikson surrendered the forces to the North without my permission, Leaving the Port as the only Falleen position left. To avoid a massacre. I have decided to surrender my remaining forces. Gods guide me.

Falleen Naval Engagement: Operation Serpent - 540AER

In the early hours of the 16th of December the Falleen Navy engaged the combined forces of Shiha and Kaarnoor at exactly 0600 hours. The battle was opened with a vast amount of Veteran aircraft which quickly made short work of the Falleen fighter patrols who were vastly outnumbered. This issue was further impounded by a restriction to the Fleet’s reserve aircraft due to Shihan operations. The Elharn Aircraft carrier was damaged due to early shelling alongside the Avalon which had its flight deck destroyed due to kamikaze attacks by the Shihan Air force. 

As the battle raged on many Falleen Destroyers were deployed to fire torpedos against Kaarnoorian battleships which were predominantly successful. This is where Falleentium succeeded in the battle, inflicting many casualties on the Shihan Navy including a light carrier. 

However from there the fighting became tough, as the Falleen Battleships engaged Shihan and Kaarnorian vessels they were torn apart by the overwhelming superiority of the Shihan technology. After several firefights which lasted a few hours Falleen ships could be seen sinking in every direction with little Shihan vessels joining them. In the case of Kaarnoor the same can not be said. Many Kaarnoorian ships that had been damaged prior to the battle were sunk and several exploded due to what is believed to be electrical faults. 

When the battle began to turn the Fallen Super Heavy Battleships began to retreat having been told to flee should the battle turn bad. During their escape however, the IFS Relleem, Delnour, Verzoonium and Tapanuo being sunk with major damage to their Hull’s. The IFS Veldunium managed to flee with heavy damage. 

Overall the engagement on the 16th of December was a Pyrrhic Victory for the Shihan forces and will remain in the sailor’s minds for the entirety of the Christmas holiday. Casualties have been listed below.

Naval Update: Gulf of Tonkin (Haals) - 542AER

Top Secret: To Imperial High Command

Following the engagement last week in the Haalsian sea, our patrols have ranged further afield, to locate the Shihan main fleet, and what remains of the enemy's naval power. During one such patrol, air forces located a Shihan carrier detatchment operating out of the Gulf of Tonkin in Haalsia(//on the southwest of Haalsia there is an indent that corresponds to one in Kaarnor, this is the Gulf). Our forces quickly responded, with the Scout Squadron strafing the picket ships. After getting word, i dispatched two carriers and a Battleship squadron. Total forces at the outset of the engagement where such:

At 1254 local time, our 304th Naval Air Patrol detected a large shihan force, inside the Gulf of Tonkin. Making a quick decision to investigate further, the Patrol Commander, Lt. Comm. David Farragut, ordered the NAP to continue. At 1323L, the force reached the hostile force, apparently unaware of the scout force now overhead. With limited ammunition, the PC had all forces make a rapid dive-bomb, and then quickly evac to the 1st Fleet in the Ancient Sea. No casulties were inflicted in the dive-bomb, though we suspect a few ships may have received light damage, mostly superficial.

Upon receiving word of the force, i sent a detatchment from my fleet to crush this force and secure the Gulf. Sailing for a number of hours, the force arrived at nearly dark, 1643L. Airplanes from the IFS Vinther III, and the IFS Guequierre began an assault on the pickets from the enemy force. A total of 6 planes where destroyed, and 4 hostile frigates were sank, with 1 damaged. 

As the surface units began to engage, our Battleships opened fire on the enemy forces. In the cross fire, one of our battleships was struck amidships, near the Port-side Aft boiler-room. This started a fire, and it rapidly spread. Within 10 minutes, the ship was engulfed in flames, and blew Her magazine shortly after.

The blast took a frigate sailing close with it. Our battleships took out one of the enemy ships, and damaged another, but the gun turrets continued firing until a series of torpedos from the frigates sank Her. As they dueled, the smaller ships probed the other side, with a small run by 5 Shihan destroyers being quickly countered by a couple of Armored Cruisers and a Frigate from our side. But, a flanking force of 4 Falleen frigates dispatched 1km to the west circled back on the Shihan carriers. With a surprise attack, they managed to sink the Light Carrier, Ryūhō, but a group of destoryers pushed them off, sinking one and damaging the others.

Shihan planes launched an attack to push off the Falleen capital ships, with a group of almost 20 planes flying in a low formation at the un-protected Battleships. While AA from the frigates and other small ships stopped a couple of planes, the remaining force dropped their bombs at the Battleships. Two of them sank, each hit nearly amidships by torpedos, and one was badly damaged with a bomb exploding on the For'ard deck, destroying a gun turret and damaging power systems to the ship. Further, Kamakazi attacks on the Vinther III heavilly damaged the port-side of the flight deck, but failed to impede most of the operations of the ship. 

AA managed to push the remaining planes away, destroying another 6 of them. The Falleen Armored cruisers made another attack, this time pushing at the Fleet Carrier of the Shihans, and a series of rounds directed at the flight deck and the Bridge cuased the ship to tuck tail and move away, but continued its operations. The ACCs halted and fired on the hostile Battleships that remained, with several hits on one destroying the Conning Tower and Bridge sections, and the other one taking a number of hits to the Waterline. With the Battleships on both sides mostly out of action, the smaller ships began picking eachother apart, four Falleen frigates surrounding a group of Shihan destroyers, and blowing them away with shells, and the two groups of cruisers going head-to-head. After a half-an-hour, the remaining forces had either withdrawn or been sunk, and the Falleen forces collect what survivors still remained, and consolidated to repair some damaged.

In addition, having moved our forces into the Gulf of Tonkin, we are in position to support a potential invasion. We stress this fact to the High Command, as well as the 10'000 men we carry in the Marine forces, and request the High Command authorize a larger invasion force to join in landing in Haalsia. As well, we request SOE operational forces in Haalsia assist in clearing a landing area, and alerting the existing Falleen forces on the island to such an impending invasion.

Operation Imperial Sword - 543AER

​Operational Summary:

An operation was conducted today. Ranging from exactly 12:00 at midnight. To 12:00 at midnight the next evening. The operation. Codenamed Imperial Shield was a rousing show of power and ability from the Falleen Armed forces to the Shihans and Goldens. The capital of the Free United Cities, Al Mekka was taken via a civil uprising. A guerrilla assualt. And a naval invasion. Vice Admiral Alexander Warrens. Acting commander for the operation has issued no comment. But Field Marshall Bryce Kaldwin, Chief of Operations for the FUC's theater. Gave a touching quote. [/b] 

"One unbreakable charge against the coming darkness One last blade, forged in defiance of fate." 

Naval Summary:

5th and 6th Fleet. 

5th Fleet was assigned the primary operation of bombarding Shihan emplacements and garrisons under the suprise of the intelligence assets being utilized. Alexander Warrens commanded the entirety of the operation from the Deck of the IFS Dapar, Which provided air support for the landing craft and later hitting objectives. At some points in the engagement. When the Dapar was in the Harbour directly. The crew used some rifles issued to fire on Shihan positions. The rest of the fleet provided artillery onto Shihan hard spots in the city. And afterwards functioned as munition depot for the men. 

6th Fleet provided a similar function to the 5th. However a greater use of ordinance in the city was allowed for the 6th. Which lacks an aircraft carrier. 

Falleen Unifed Army and Air Summary:

The Falleen Army and Marine detachment, Numbering 200,000 landed well into the attack by the FUF and the civil revolt inside Al Mekka. Landing at 4:00am in the dark, The men used flares and prepared bonfires to lead the men in. The Shihans already disrupted by the Civil Revolt and just than reacting to the FUF assualt had little or no forces to react or be prepared in time. Therefore the forces landed with minimal oppositon until they were well within the city. 

Shihan forces were unable to mount anything greater than a brigade level defense due to the shock onto their infrastructure and the rapid airstrikes conducted by the 5th Fleet. Shihan junior officers were the greatest targets for fire due to their tactical value. This caused disorganized but still relentless resistance. Gunnary fire by the fleets and the urban warfare style of combat the FUF and civil revolt brought made this situation unsustainable for the Shihans. A hastily organized retreat allowed them to withdraw to the west of the city. Towards the Shihans facing the main Niliran invasion. 

The operation on this end went far better than initially suspected by the Staff operating on the Dapar. Although the bodies have not yet been counted. No doubt the Falleen soldiers contributed the most. 

The Air Force was regulated to a superficial role. It's namesake function being done by the Falleen Naval Air Service 

FUF and IDIS overview:

At exactly midnight, A planned uprising began. With explosions being recorded within the 5 Shihan military barracks and garrison within the city. After this fighters with hand granades and other arments began to fire onto the Shihans exiting the burning barracks. At the same time Naval Guns from the Falleen fleet fired as well onto notable targets or possible resistance area's. This caused local supremecy in many instances to the Revolters. 

The FUF under Emir Macmillian began their assault at 1:10 AM with the Shihan garrison already under attack by the Revolters. The FUF employed a heavy artillery barrage initially and than a massed charge. This broke the Shihans line's but produced an intensely bloody affair. As both sides had established that they were well versed in melee. The melee combat was an all consuming affair. Something that was to the horror of the Falleen soldiers whom entered the city afterwards. The ground was covered in bodies of both sides. Sword wounds all about. Emir Macmillian happily greeted Warrens upon arriving at the Dapar. The two having been aquitances during the original FUC's campaign. 

This report has been dictated to the Falleen General Staff and all properly ranked individuals on a need to know basis. This may also be read by authorized individuals. Reading this document without the concent of the Falleen General Staff or the need to know basis and divulging this information can lead to being charged under the crime of High Treason. Which is punishable by death.

Operation Lark, Report #2; Victory at Svralaton Gulf - 544AER

To Imperial High Command; 

Following the skirmish with Golden Alliance forces several days ago, an extensive search for an enemy carrier was launched which, after two days, spotted a massive enemy fleet four hundred miles northwest of Port Anderson which was believed to be its primary target. With the news, the 4th, 6th and the few remaining ships of the 7th fleet and the ships of Colonel Bryland, located in Port Anderson were quickly dispatched under the orders of Admiral Hess, in an effort to intercept the enemy fleet. Sorties of naval aircraft were quickly launched as the fleet was underway in an effort to target and hopefully dispatch the enemy aircraft carriers. 

The 1st Fighter Wing from Northern Command, located closer to the enemy fleet due to the recent transfer was also quickly prepared and sent to aide in escorting naval bombers due to the enemy's proximity to Port Anderson. Engagement with enemy fighters and bombers ensued at 11:17 local time as Fallen aircraft quickly set upon the enemy aircraft which were in the process of heading for the Falleen fleets. Harsh aerial fighting commenced as the majority of Falleen bombers were able to get through with limited fighter support from the 1st Fighter Wing as the remainder of the sorties' air support continued to harass and destroy the enemy fighters, their numbers allowing for a majority of the enemy bombers to be destroyed before they could reach the Fallen fleet, but nonetheless, a Falleen frigate and destroyer were damaged in the enemy attack before it was fully stopped. 

At 12:31 local time, Falleen air forces managed to descend on the enemy fleet located in Svralaton Gulf were enemy fighters and anti-air armaments quickly began to assert itself in an effort to stop bombers from targeting the aircraft. Stiff fighting lasted for two hours as Falleen sorties engaged the enemy fleet and worked to fight off enemy bombers. Several torpedoes managed to strike an enemy carrier and quickly forcing it to list and then sink, handing air superiority over to Fallen forces. 

The fleets engaged three hundred miles northwest of Port Anderson at 15:13 local time as a contingent of the 4th and 6th fleets were sent to engage the enemy from the north under Admiral Henry Sherman while the remainder of the 7th rounded south under Colonel Bryland's command upon special orders from Admiral Hess. Falleen ships quickly managed to catch the enemy fleet spread out over miles in the gulf as fighting raged throughout the afternoon and into the evening, bombing attempts continuously being carried out from the rest of the Falleen fleet being held back with the carriers. At 16:10, it was reported that a second enemy carrier was destroyed following a large explosion from the inside following several torpedo hits while at 16:23, a bombing run on the Falleen fleet had managed to break through Falleen fighters and damage the flight deck of HMS Ancient Sea.

The arrival of several Sigiorian ships in the late evening fighting saw a closing to the battle as a push from the south by the HMS Dantalion and the 7th fleet drove the remaining enemy north while under heavy fire, the HMS Sophia taking a large round and forcing it to halt pursuit while the Dantalion took several rounds to its decks and a strafing run by the last airborne enemy fighters, dealing damage to the bridge and injuring Colonel Bryland while several shells to HMS Solarem's conning tower led to the death of Admiral Sherman. Combined fire from ships and aircraft saw the destruction of one enemy carrier and damage to a forth as the enemy ships quickly fled northwest. 

Pursuit of the remaining enemy ships lasted for only a few minutes as the last Falleen bombers delivered their payloads, but following the end to fighting and the recovery of survivors, the engagement has been considered a success. Reconnaissance is underway to make sure there are no other major enemy forces in the vicinity and to track the fleeing enemy fleet to see that it moves away to an acceptable distance as rescue and salvage begins. On route to Port Anderson, it was reported that Colonel Bryland and Sigorian Admiral Andrej Jakac had died from injuries sustained during the battle. The enemy fleet was believed to be an opening invasion attempt of Port Anderson aimed at trying to destroy the large Falleen naval force present in the area, but with the Falleen strategic victory, an effort can made made to try and push the enemy from the south in the coming year.

Second Landing at Haalsia - 545AER

Following period of bombardment by Air and Naval forces, Falleen forces have successfully landed in Haalsia. As i type, the 9th Army has laid seige to a Kaarnorian fortress in the highlands noroth of San Padua, while the 11th attacks inland to their south, cutting off supplies. In the last two days, fighting has been fierce, but we have secured a small beachhead about 4km north of San Padua. Early objectives included the taking of a key port, 1.5km south of us, which the 16th Army secured after a 12hr battle against heavy defence of Oldenburg. Further to the north, the Marine Landing Outfit has disembarked with little resistance in what seems to be an isolated stretch of coast, however after 4hrs, contact with the advancing front was lost. Units at the beach have since fortified against a major attack, and have begun sending search planes. 

Naval Air power has been key in this early stage, keeping hostile artillery at bay, while also scouting for land forces. Only two air engagements took place, firstly, when a Shihan bomber squadron attampted to assault the main landing site, which resulted in 4 downed bombers, and 6 fighters on our side, and secondly, when a small fighter wing attacked the fleet in the harbour. Allied Anti-Aircraft kept them at bay, while fighter groups from the Carriers quickly drove off the surviving ships. After night-fall on the first day, Kaarnorian forces launched an attack on the southern quadrant of the landing zone, which drove the 16th Army back a bit, but a reinforcing wave from the 11th Army helped hold the line. Artillery fire continued on both sides well into the night, and air patrols maintained bombing runs on key targets. At dawn, another massed attack by Shihan forces was repelled by the Army surrounding Oldenburg. Upon the forcing back of forces, Army units were ordered to begin advancing. The 9th Army attacked with heavy support, and took the city of Caen. With port access, the naval forces built up in the bay began unloading supplies and equipment to the land forces. This allowed the Armor units to unload and push on to move the front lines forward. 

In the north, Marine units reconnected, having discovered a Shihan patrol that cut off lines between the forward party and the beachead. A swift attack eliminated the threat, and the Marine battalions continued to push forward. 

As of this moment, the 9th army is pushing north-east, attempting to head off a gathering of hostile forces for an attack on the Marine landing force. The 11th Army is holding back, and securing our main base of operations, while its Engineer Corps works on expanding the landing site for more equipment, as well as building an air-base for Air Force operations. The 16th continues to hold the southern defense line, and is expanding the battle line. 

Our Marine forces have halted, and are digging in, but plan to move south to connect to the Army around Caen and Oldenburg.

Naval forces are now patroling to the north and south of Haalsia, attempting to lcate the remains of the Shihan/Kaarnorian Fleet. As of yet, no signs have shown of them, and the Navy is awaiting more results from the land force to be assured before leaving the landing site. 

Assault on Capital: The war in Faaral gets explosive! Faraal - 559AER

Communist Forces begin titanic offensive on Capital of Faaral!

At 0400 hours today. The Forces of the New Dawn Revolutionary Army began a full on strategic offensive against forces defending the Capital Military District. Their spirits raised by the withdrawl of almost 60,000 coalition soldiers from the 5 nations formally backing Royalist forces and wanting to seize upon the Falleen ground forces having not properly arrived yet; the Revolutionary Army has executed a significant offensive. 

Highly motivated and strong in a number of almost 180,000 men. They began the offensive early in the morning with a 3 hour bombardment of understaffed hinterland fortifications protecting the capital. Despite heavy royalist efforts to repel the attack the Communists broke through with an extremely well coordinated artillery strike and of course the element of suprise. The Prime Minister of Faaral declared a state of emergency and soon a cocktail of soldiers, national guardsmen, policemen and anti communist paramilitaries poured into the western suburbs of the capital. 

Communist bombardment of the suburbs have been devistating. If not as well coordinated as the attack earlier in the day. The Communists advance has been high intensity and therefore challanging to stem. In addition; communist partisans and agents in the capital have been causing havok and confusion by attacking the police stations and occupying the central telephone directory of the capital. 

The Communists have also been bolstered by a good number of former Golden Imperial and even some Red Federation tanks. These have allowed them to destroy fortifications and barracades errected by royalists to stop their advance. 

The fighting has been fierce and house to house in terms of pace for a lot of the suburbs now as royalists have fortified some homes and placed machine guns and other equipment in the higher aparments to fire on the Communists occupying the street beneath them. 

From what we can effectively estimate the Communists are attempting to chew as hard as they can into the capital district and begin a very costly battle with the royalists once the Faaralian reserves enter the city and the battle. In the museum of natural history, one of the largest buildings in the city the Communists have raised the Red Banner and have begun establishing strong emplacements in addition to mortar fire at the central portions of the city including parliament by 2100 hours.

Royalist and Falleen counterattack begins.

(Two days later.) 

After two days of fierce fighting in the Western Portion of the city and sporadic mortar fire in the central and north districts it seems the Government has finally begun to react properly. In a speech to the citizens of Faaral the Prime Minister denounced the Communists and said they would be put to the sword. 

Following this an artillery barrage from across the government controlled portions of the city occured. Firing at a rapid pace, the guns levelled a large number of buildings in the Western District and caught communist forces somewhat off guard. Soon over 50,000 highly trained and well equipped forces of the royal guard corps and foreign legion with a 3000 strong Falleen ground contingent made their move. 

These soldiers are highly trained in urban combat and have proven to be much more effective in it than the Communist forces. Over the course of 3 days they have cleared out much of the occupied areas alongside paramilitaries. Soon the Communists have begun to capitulate as they have ran out of ammo or have been cut off from other units. The Royal Guard Corps and regular forces have handed over many of the communist prisoners over to paramilitaries and police. Whom have now been recorded summarily executing prisoners and civillians they believe to be communist partisans or soldiers who have taken civillian clothing. 

One particular scene shall resonate the intention of stating this from a Falleen attache: 

"Myself and 2nd Lt Alopous had just finished detaining multiple suspected partisans while the Military Police Colonel was doing processing. Soon a paramilitary wearing the white legion armband approached our site holding a man in a white shirt and jeans. He said to the Colonel. "We just found this man at your home with 2 other guerillas. They have just executed one of your police Captains and his entire family for working with the Government." The Colonel nodded his head and stood up. The paramilitary held the man while the Colonel drew his issue revolver. Putting the revolver to the mans head the Colonel simply pulled the trigger. Brain matter ended up on the street and the Colonel returned to his desk shortly after." 

The Communist lines seem to be withering and although both sides have taken losses the Falleen Air Force and Faaralian one intend to begin operations tomorrow. They hope to break the Communist lines and route them to roughly 50 kilometers from the capital.

Royalists achieve breakthrough with integrated offensive!

The awaited counterattack to destroy Communist lines and route their forces westward has finally begun to follow through. Using a large combined arms force consisting of air, land and irregular attacks the Royalist forces have begun a clean sweep of Communist lines. After taking their fortified portions of the suburbs. The Royalists have begun air strikes on all remaining areas outside of their control. Using strategic and tactical bombers the Royalists have anihilated most of the remaining structures and potential fortifications remaining. 

Fighting the Communists through the ruins to great success; the forces have come across thousands of communist forces killed or trapped by the rubble or crippled from the explosions. Many of the Communist forces have simply lost the will to fight on as their supplies have nearly been exhausted and many of their prepared fortifications are now buried in rubble or are now debris themselves. 

Following this route from the city Communist forces staged a blunting counterattack with two armoured divisions and a myriad of high to limited mobility units in an effort to retain the iniative. This has gone extremely poorly as many of these tank and artillery units have fallen pray to the significant presense of Falleen air power. Royalists have now advanced up to 30 kilometers facing only sporadic resistance as the amount of air power on their side compared to the almost non existant communist air force has allowed most units to be neutralized before they even could fire on royalist forces.  The main Communist tank in the BK-27 has fallen easy pray to Falleen dive bombers as the armour on the top plate is thin enough that the Dive Bombers can use their machine guns to fire in and kill the 3 man crew without even needing to drop their bomb. Faaralian army units have come across over a hundred BK-27's with no signs of damage excluding 3-4 holes in the roof from gunfire.  Having now captured over 6 towns that fell in another giant battle to control the approaches of the Capital, Faaralian royalists morale is at an all time high. However because of the enemy revealing many of their combatents are not in uniform. Paramilitary sweeps to find supposed hidden communists has resulted in many summary executions. And due to the attacks on many police sations and anger not only can Police not stop these retaliations; many also partake in them. We expect more developments as the Faaralian royalists plan their next advance with our support. The key priority here is getting order restored so we don't have death squads in the streets.

"The dirty war." Carnage in Faaral - 562AER

Brutal response to escalating violence in Faaral!

Events in Faaral have taken an exceptionally violent and some say barbaric turn today. As royalist paramilitaries and far right nationalist armed groups have begun systematic mass murder against imprisoned and suspected Communists following news of the attack in the heart of Falleentium. 

Propagandists; proclaiming these attacks the culmination of a great plot and acting with the support of several Faaralian state agents have riled the populace into a violent frenzy within areas controlled by Royalist and coalition forces. 

Forces of the Faaralian National Guard Corps, a far right miltia now funded and supported by numerous Faaralian Army offers and state officials have taken over facilities such as prisons and police stations. Well armed and highly dedicated to the cause of "Purging their nation of all malcontents such as dissenting ethnicities and godless Communists" these men have been engaging in killing on a simply industrial scale following the attacks with the Faaralian government condoning and even supporting several of these actions. 

A parade of humanity was spotted today being marched down the King Lorenzo III road out of the capital. This group of nearly 120,000 people have been interned by the National Guards in the prisons recently occupied. This group varies from criminals, POW's or even just civillians suspected of holding communist sympathies. 

Off duty 2nd Lt Harold Hardstem recorded what happened to these people in his journal. As he was invited to what the officers called a "spectecle you won't want to miss": 

Account of massacres:

"The people were numbered from 1-10 and each corresponding group would number on average about 150 people. These poor souls would be marched into a ditch with the people designated #1 going into the first. They would be ordered to lie on their backs face down in the ditch. Following this one of the officers would call out one of the squads numbering between 1-5 from playing cards. These men would load up submachine guns and would approach the top of the ditch and the officer would order them to fire. People in the ditch would hear the orders being issued and would rise up to flee; however a group of observing Faaralian Army officals on the side of the ditch would pull out their sidearm and shoot them in the leg to keep them in the ditch. The men would fire until everyone was hit atleast once. Following this sick display. The officers would walk among the bodies to find any still living to quickly end them. After this; the officer would call for the next squad and have the group after lay upon the corpses. By the end of the day the ditches were full and before leaving for the evening the Officers would pour gasoline over the corpses before setting them alight. God forgive us all."

This scene is not an exotic one in the carnage that has come to be an everyday occurance in the civil war. A Communist police squad was reported to have hung the entire populace of a village that was traded back and forth between the Royalists and Communists one a report came about saying they were giving foodstuffs to the royalists. 

However what is unique is the fact that these are getting no interfence anymore from the Faaralian army who previously intervened whenever a massacre is unfolding. Many believe this is tied to the recent dismissal of over 84 generals of the Faaralian military and the rapid rise of younger officers. Over 95 Colonels in the Faaralian Army and Military police were promoted to generals over the last month with over 50 of these having supported one of the many paramilitaries roaming behind the Faaralian lines asserting their brutal definition of order. 

Is Falleen policy for influencing the Faaralian military too neutral?

With reports of this unparalelled brutality coming from merely miles away to the Falleen command. Many believe the Falleen Commander for Faaral; the Viscount Helkar should imediately intervene. However, the Viscount has argued against such intervention. Informing concerned staff that it is well beyond his mandate to be intervening in areas controlled by the proper Faaralian governent. 

And though these actions are immensely brutal. He views them as at least partially justified due to accounts of atrocties coming from the front. Where he cites that the majority of paramilitaries originate. 

"These men are doing exactly what is recorded to be happening to their family and friends. I cannot and will not hold them to a higher account than their godless foe. However I definately shall encourage the Faaralian army to stop these actions themselves." 

The Faaralian conflict has now been called "The dirty war" by most servicemen in the country. Many have been demoralized by the barbarism practiced by both sides with absolutely no moral platform being present for them to stand on.

SUBJECT: RESULTS OF OPERATION LANCE

MESSAGE: 

Be pleased to report to the aforementioned recipients of the current standing of Operation Lance, the amphibious invasion of Gelakkar Island. In preparation for the offensive in the South, Rear Admiral Oh Sangwoo was ordered to move his 1st Marine Division from Reellam to the naval base in Vintheriu. According to intelligence reports, the enemy was aware, via signals intelligence, of the large-scale movement of Allied forces in the Southern Sea area but concluded that the Allies were reinforcing Port Katharina and the southern colonies. The Operation Lance force, numbering 40 warships and transports (including Darpar-class aircraft carrier Graf von Linde and it's 88 airplanes), and 40,000 Marines, assembled near Port Kathaaraina on 26 August and engaged in one rehearseal landing prior to leaving for Gelakkar Island supervised by Admiral Yamada. The troops sent to Gelakkar were fresh from military training and armed with bolt-action rifles.

Bad weather allowed the invasion force to arrive unseen by the enemy on the night of 5 September and the morning of 6 September, taking the defenders by surprise. A Red Federation patrol aircraft from eastern Gelakkar had searched the general area the invasion fleet was moving through, but missed seeing the ships due to severe storms and heavy clouds. The landing force split into two groups, with one group assaulting what was designated as Lunga Point and the other assaulting at Barrier Beach. The taskforce's warships bombarded the invasion beaches while the airplanes from HMS Graf von Linde bombed rebel positions on shore fortifications and destroyed 15 Red/Gelakkar seaplaanes at their base near Lunga Point with 3 losses.

Lancer Group 1, designated to land near Lunga Point, attacked the military base of Matanikau with 3,000 Marines against 886 Gelakkar personnel manning the facilities. With some difficulties, the Marines secured the base on the 7th of September. The Gelakkar defenders were killed almost to the last man, while the Marines suffered 122 killed and 173 wounded.

In contrast to Lunga Point, the landings to the east encountered much less resistance. At 09:10 on 7 September, RADM O. Sangwoo and 11,000 Marines came ashore on the city of Gavuju between Beach Barrier and Lunga Point. Advancing towards Lunga Point , they encountered little resistance and secured the airfield by 16:00 of the same day. The Gelakkar naval construction units and combat troops, under the command of Captain Jessiah Istmuch, panicked by the warship bombardment and aerial bombing, had abandoned the airfield area and fled about 4.8 km west to the Lesoto River area, leaving behind food, supplies, intact construction equipment and vehicles, and 13 dead.

During the landing operations on 6 and 7 of September, Gelakkar and Red naval aircraft based at the base of Ufahria under the command of C. Kepler, attacked the Allied amphibious forces several times, to the point of setting afire the transport HMS Dolphin and heavily damaging the destroyer HMS Harvis. In the air attacks over the two days, the enemy lost 36 aircraft, while the Allies lost 19, both in combat and to accidents, including 14 carrier fighters.

Rear Admiral Sangwoo has established a considerably stable beachhead on the Western Gelakkar mainland, this is mostly attributed due to the lack of concentrated forces in the west and the superior training and firepower brought by the Allied forces. It is expected that as the invasion continues, the Gelakkar rebel government shall redirect their forces away from the Allied base in the east and towards our forces in the west, potentially easing pressure of the eastern base and complicating our advance.

SUBJECT: RESULTS OF OPERATION LANCE

MESSAGE: 

Be bound by duty to report to the aforementioned recipients on the current status of Operation Lance.

On the evening of 12 September, a 25-man Marine patrol led by Lieutenant Frank Helker consisting of intelligence personnel, landed by boat west of the Lunga Point perimeter,, on a reconnaissance mission with a secondary objective of contacting a group of Gelakkar troops that we believed might be willing to surrender. Soon after the patrol landed, a nearby platoon of Gelakkar naval troops attacked and almost completely wiped out the Marine patrol.

In response, a day later RADM Sangwoo sent three companies of the 7th Marine Regiment to attack the gelakkar troops concentrated south of Lunga Point near the city of Akureyri -- the third largest city in Gelakkar Island. One company attacked across the sandbar at the mouth of the Svensson river while another crossed the river 1,000 meters inland and attacked the Gelakkar forces located in northern Akureyri. The third landed by boat further south and attacked Jonnstrom, a large town outside the city. After briefly occupying the two sectors, the three Marine companies occupied the entire city having killed 240 Gelakkar soldiers, while losing but 45 marines and taking hundreds prisoner.

In response to the occupation of Akureyri, the Gelakkar Island Rebel Government assigned 30,000 soldiers based in the east to march west to counter the invasion of the west. A first element of this detachment numbering 4,000 soldiers under the Command of General Tanaka marched towards Akureyri after midnight on 19 September.

Underestimating the strength of Allied forces on Akureyri, Tanaka's unit conducted a nighttime frontal assault on Marine positions at Alligator Creek on the east side of the Lunga perimeter (east Akureyri) in the early morning hours of 21 September. Tanaka's assault was defeated with heavy Gelakkarian losses. After daybreak, the Marine units counterattacked the Gelakkarian detachment's surviving troops, killing many more of them. The dead included Tanaka himself, though it is believed that he took his own life with a bullet to the head rather than dying in combat. In total, 3154 of the original 4000 members of Tanaka's First Element were killed in the battle. The survivors retreated East towards the city of Höfn, the last stronghold before the capital city of Beykjavik.

At this point, the Gelakkar forces continued to experience problems in acquiring sufficient supplies to sustain their troops due to Allied naval and aerial raids disturbing the communication and transport lines. The withdrawal of Red Federation naval assets from the region hit the last nail in the coffin of the Gelakkar resistance to Allied forces, who could no further supply their soldiers to withstand the advance of the Marines. 

Such was made clear during the Battle of Höfn, which took place between 23 and 27 September. The Gelakkarians delivered an extra 6,000 troops to Höfn, giving General Tassafaronga 26,000 troops in total to employ for his planned defense of the city. 

His 2nd Division, under Lieutenant General Masao and comprising 7,000 soldiers in three infantry regiments of three battalions each was ordered to march through the jungle and attack the Falleen positions from the south near the east bank of the Hö River. The date of the attack was set for 22 September, then changed to 23 September due to weather conditions, giving the Marines enough time to prepare their positions. The Gelakkarians estimated that there were 15,000 Falleen troops on the island, when in fact there were close to 40,000.

Once Masao's troops arrived near Falleen positions east of the Matanikau Military Base battle ensued. Over two consecutive nights Masao's forces conducted numerous, unsuccessful frontal assaults on positions defended by troops of the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines under Lieutenant Colonel Puller. Marine units were armed with rifles, machine guns, mortars, artillery, including direct canister fire from 37 mm anti-tank guns "wrought terrible carnage" on the the overwhelmed and under-equipped Gelakkarian forces. A few small groups of Gelakkarian forces broke through th Falleen defenses, but were all hunted down and killed over the next several days. More than 4000 of Masao's troops were killed in the attacks while the Marines lost about 150 killed -- General Masao was killed in action.

Further Gelakkarian attacks near Höfn on 26 September were also repulsed with heavy losses for the Gelakkarians. As a result, by 08:00 on 26 September, General Tassafaronga called off any further attacks and ordered his forces to retreat. About half of Tassafaronga's survivors were ordered to retreat back to the capital of Beykjavik while the 2nd Infantry Division under Colonel Kololinga was told to stay in Höfn to cover the retreat. Decimated by battle deaths, combat injuries, malnutrition, and tropical diseases, the 2nd Division was incapable of further offensive action and fought as a defensive force in the city's suburbs and centre. In total, the enemy lost 3000 troops in the battle for Höfn while we lost 435 Marines in total.

The advance of our Marines to the capital of Beykjavik was met with minor resistance, as Gelakkarian Communist Forces faced internal unrest with thousands of people rioting in the streets of their main cities of Beykjavik and Flateyri and major defections by military commanders such as General Tafarronga. By the 30th of September, the Marines had pushed the remaining Communist forces from the capital -- including the capture of 2000 Red Federation operatives on the island. Meanwhile Lancer Group 2 moved across the norther coast towards Flateyri which it sieged with naval and aerial support from the coast. At 2300, the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Gelakkar Island, now overseen by General J. Tafarronga, officially capitulated after the corpse of Generalissimo T. Nestor was found in his office with a bullet to his temple. Rear Admiral Oh Sangwoo attended the capitulation ceremony alongside Official Envoy to Gelakkar Island Commandant-General Rye.

SACEAST: Status Report North-Eastern Theater 21/10/578AER

As appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Allied Force for the North-Eastern Theater (COMMNEAST), the North-Eastern Theater included the participation of Allied forces in the region under an efficient and unified command structure. This streamlined cooperation has led to considerable progress in creating a joint approach to the difficulties of the north-eastern theater. 

The 3rd Imperial Fleet, supplemented by Verz, Cantonosian, Shihan and Kaarnorian naval assets, established a defensive frontline across the sea stretching from North Shiha to northern Haalsia. Supreme Allied Command had given strict directives that offensive operations must be taken to counter the threat of RF incursion into vulnerable regions such as Haalsia, northern Shiha and Kaarnor. 

OPERATION TEMPEST

TASKFORCE 72, under the command of Admiral Jie Chang-jin (Kaarnor), is comprised of 4 heavy cruisers, 8 light cruisers, 6 destroyers, an Allied Marine Force (roughly 3000 man strong) and a dozen aircraft was established as the main force of Operation Tempest. Operation Tempest would be the allied campaign for the invasion of Cherry Blossom Island -- the most south-western island of the Viisi region of Cantonos.

As Allied forces landed in Cherry Blossom Island, their main mnission being to establish a beachhead on the island where an airfield would be built to launch Allied operations from, a RF naval detachment approached TASKFORCE 72. 

The RF responded with air attacks and a powerful naval force from the south-east commande by Admiral Sentarovsburg was composed of 2 heavy cruisers, 10 light cruisers, 6 destroyers and 100 aircraft. The RF formation was hastily assembled from whatever ships were on hand, many of which had never trained or fought together before.

Once the landing craft and troop transports were evacuated, the rest of TF 72 was assembled south-east of Empress Catherina Bay and steamed slowly eastward.

TF 72 made radar contact at 0230 on 13 October. From the leading in the Allied formation Commodore Steward Finnley sent the four destroyers of DesDiv 12 forward for a torpedo attack and at 0245 fired a salvo toward the enemy. Almost simultaneously, the RFS Proletariat division fired 18 torpedoes. Each attack was detected and both groups maneuvered away from the torpedoes. 3rd Destroyer Squadron turned southward into the path of Cruiser Division causing havoc in the RF formation. The RF fleet became separated in the confusion into three groups, north, center and south.

Another group of destroyers, DesDiv 17 was ordered to attack. However, unpreparedness of the destroyer crews led to this group of destroyers to be separeted from othger ships. At around 0250, when it became apparent that the DesDiv 17 torpedo attack had failed to achieve complete surprise, the Kaarnorian cruisers opened fire, quickly disabling RF lightcruiser Proletariat. DesDiv 25 maneuvered north and concentrated on the northern group, DesDiv 17 engaged the center group while the cruisers divided their fire between all three groups.

This mayhem in the RF formation led to a collision between two RF lightcruisers, which were subsequently forced to retire from battle with one of them receiving several hits at 0300. Another pair of RF lightcruisers also collided, one having it's brows sliced off and the other sustaining heavy damage such as the loss of a torpedo launcher. Allied ships, too, endured such difficulties Falleen HMS Rembrandt and CNS (Cantonos) Johnson also collided, but were able to continue in the battle. KNS (Kaarnor) Hou Sang was struck by a torpedo which blew off the stern of the ship leaving 19 dead and 17 wounded. Subsequently, the drifting Hou Sang became a navigational hazard to the other ships adding to the confusion of the battle. Hou Sang was busy for the remainder of the engagement trying to stay afloat and fighting off an enemy aircraft attack.

Without fire control radar, the RF fleet depended heavily on flares to illuminate their targets. Cruisers repeatedly maneuvered to avoid starshells fired by the opposing ships but was finally successfully illuminated by brilliant flares dropped by RF snooper aircraft.

All during the battle the Allied destroyers experienced difficulty maintaining contact with each other and several times came close to firing on friendly ships, underscoring the difficulty in fighting night actions even when equipped with radar and IFF systems.

By 0337, Sentarovsburg, believing that he had sunk a heavy cruiser and worried about being caught in daylight by Allied carrier aircraft, ordered a retreat. RF cruisers fired a salvo of eight torpedoes at Allied CruDiv 6 from extreme range at 0340 but missed. 

0400: DesDiv 25 and 17 were engaged in a confused melee with retreating RF stragglers – sinking Proletariat and driving off the remaining northern group ships. At 0410 Johnson lost speed due to water in the fuel line and fell out of formation. Allied ships reported many hits on the enemy contacts. At 0438 DesDiv 17 fired on the limping Johnson in error, sinking it. 

At daylight the pursuit was broken off and all ships, many low on fuel and ammunition, were ordered to rendezvous with the hapless Hou Sang. The rest of the day was spent defending the landing beaches from air attack.

With Cherry Blossom island under firm Allied control, and an aerial base fully equipped to carry out operations, a second RF assault force was surprised by a squadron of Long-range bombers -- heavily damaging four heavy cruisers which had to withdraw east. This ended RF warship threat to the Allied landing forces at Cherry Blossom Island.

OPERATION MAYFLOWER

TASKFORCE 25, under the command of Captain Edward G. Petit (Falleentium), is comprised of 5 destroyers. Operation Mayflower would be the allied invasion of the northern island of Lansdowne, the north-western Cantonosian Visii island. Operation Mayflower was intended to occupy the island before RF forces could reach it. However, a small RF force was able to slip by the Allied line and establish a base on the island. CPT Petit's report of the battle follows:

1) In accordance with given directives TF 25 was directed to proceed from vicinity of northern Kaarnor to Lansdowne Isle. The principal assumption was that harassing the enemy would disrupt any of his aggressive plans and generally hasten his evacuation of that area.

2) Intelligence reports indicated that the most probable points of enemy concentrations were shipping at anchor in George's Bay. Shore batteries were indicated along the bay. There was no information on probable mine fields except at the entrance to George Bay Harbors. Information on probable size and location of shore batteries and radar detection units was obtained prior to the bombardment, but it is estimated, from the volume of fire delivered by the shore batteries, that they are actually of larger caliber and more numerous than reported.

3) The state of the weather was definitely overcast enough for concealment of own forces. During the approach and until prior to commencing Phase I, surface visibility to approximately six miles, with a very low overcast.

4) At 2240 the Squadron was brought into column. Several flashing sono buoys were observed around the approach to George's Bay. This ship was directed to fire counter battery. Opened fire on southern shore batteries at 0107. At 0115 shifted counter battery fire to central point to silence the shore battery there, the shore battery on southern having been silenced with 141 rounds of ammunition. Central battery silenced after this ship fired 56 rounds of ammunition at this battery. Heavy gunfire was observed inside George Habor Bay, which was taken under fire by HMS Lice and HMS Seahore on order. It was determined later that this gunfire was from two enemy destroyers inside the bay. At 0124 fired low speed torpedoes on course into George's Bay, range 12,200 yards. The torpedoes were fired with a track to take them through the center of the mine field across the entrance to George's Bay (assumed to be the channel through the field) and directed to the spot reported as the most frequented anchorages inside George's Bay. At 1136 our observation plane dropped a stick of bombs on northern shore batteries. At 0335 changed course to north having cleared George's Bay.

5) The nighttime engagement ended with the silencing of the RF artillery and resulted in a blockade of the port. Two RF transports were also sunk in the fighting. Later, Allied forces landed on the island and destroyed the enemy garrison.

OPERATION SHIELDMAIDEN

TASKFORCE 68, commanded by Rear Admiral Saron Merrill (Verzarent),is composed of one escort carrier, three light cruisers, two corvettes and three destroyers. TF 68 was tasked with intercepting reported RF naval movements towards the region of Haalic in the north. The RF invasion force, transports carrying 7000 soldiers escorted by 1 light cruiser and 5 destroyers under the command of Commander Semen Masachankovstin.

As they approached the Haalic coast, the RF warships encountered TF 68. In a short battle, all RF destroyers destroyers were sunk -- yet the light cruiser managed to escape with the troop transports back east. TF68 suffered unnecessarily heavy losses, with both corvettes, all three destroyers being sunk and a light cruiser being damaged in the process. The invasion force however was repelled and it's objective achieved.

OPERATION STINGRAY

Also known as the Battle of Greater Viisi, was the allied amphibious invasion of RF positions in the main Cantonosian island of the Viisi region -- Greater Viisi. Employing the hard-lessons learned from the invasion of Kaarnor, Allied forces launched a twin assault on the main island of Greater Viisii from the west and the south. 

Allied forces for the landings were Rear Admiral Khun Na's (Falleentium) 3rd Fleet Amphibious Force, and Major General P. Thada (Falleentium) V Amphibious Corps, which comprised the 4th Marine Division, 7th Infantry Division as well as the 22nd Marines, and the Kaarnorian Army's 106th and 111th Infantry regiments under the command of BGen T. Sanrak. In total this accounted for roughly 40,000 soldiers. Intelligence estimated the RF garrison on Greater Viisi to be about 18,000 (10,000 south, 8,000 west) many of whom were drafted local militias.

The 7th Division began by landing on the bays labeled Jerry, John, Julia and Jennifer (Southern Sector) on 16 October, which were used as artillery bases for the next day's assault. The bombardment by the Southern Attack Force, including the battleship HMS Tapanuo, plus B-24 bombers from Cherrry Blossom Island and artillery from Jennifer Bay was devastating. Landing beaches Blue 1 and 2 were assaulted at 0930 on 17 October, the Allies reaching halfway across the runway by sunset. Although the enemy counterattacked every night, the island was declared secure by the end of the fourth day on the 20th.

On the west side, the 4th Marine Division followed a similar plan, first capturing the bays of Derek, Donald, Dick and Darius on 17 October, and then landing on the city of Westboro on 18 October The airfield on the western half was captured quickly, and the eastern half fell the next day. The worst setback came when a Marine demolition team threw a satchel charge of high explosives into a RF bunker, not realizing it was a torpedo warhead magazine. The resulting explosion killed twenty Marines and wounded dozens more and caused an observation pilot to radio, "The whole damn island has blown up!"
